Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-15
This Refund Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions. It explains when refunds are available, when they aren't, and how to request one.
We try to be fair. The cutoffs and tiers below balance respect for your situation — life happens — with the reality that we reserve space, equipment, and staff specifically for your booking. Out-of-policy requests are always reviewed case-by-case at our discretion. If your situation is unusual, email us before assuming you're out of luck.
1. Cancellations and Reschedules
You can cancel or reschedule any booking up to 24 hours before your scheduled start time and receive a full refund or move to any available future slot at no extra charge.
This applies to all of our experiences:
- Axe Throwing (60 min, 1–10 guests)
- Splatter Rage Birthday Experience (100 min, 1–10 guests)
- Splatter Paint (30 min, ages 2+, 1–20 guests)
- Rage Room (45 min, ages 10+, 1–6 guests)
- The Collector Escape Experience (45 min, ages 6+, 1–6 guests)
To cancel or reschedule, contact us by email at info@ragingaxe.com or by phone at (737) 297-6696. Please have your booking confirmation number ready. Cancellation requests submitted by email are timestamped on receipt — that timestamp determines which tier applies.
Inside the 24-hour window, the refund tiers in Section 2 apply.
2. Refund Tiers
| Notice given before your start time | Refund |
|---|---|
| 3 days or more before start | 100% |
| Between 24 hours and 3 days before start | 100% |
| Less than 24 hours before start | 50% |
| No-show (see Section 3) | 0% |
What the percentages apply to: Refund percentages are calculated on your booking subtotal, before any taxes or third-party payment processing fees.
Taxes: Taxes are refunded in full whenever any refund is issued.
Processing fees: Payment processors (such as credit card networks) sometimes retain a small transaction fee that we cannot recover on our end. We'll tell you exactly which portion of your payment is refundable when you contact us — no surprises.
Example — Rage Room booking, cancelled 10 hours before start: If you paid $60 for a Rage Room session and cancel the morning of, you'd receive $30 back (50%), plus any applicable tax paid, minus any non-recoverable processor fee (if applicable).
3. No-Shows
If no member of your party has arrived within 15 minutes after your scheduled start time and you haven't contacted us, the booking is marked as a no-show. No-shows are not refundable.
We hold your lane, room, equipment, and staff for your entire window. For time-sensitive experiences like The Collector or the Rage Room — where sessions are tightly scheduled and capacity is limited — a no-show directly impacts other guests.
If something unexpected prevented you from arriving or calling, reach out anyway. We'll review the situation and do what we can.
4. Late Arrivals
We hold your booking for a 15-minute grace window from your scheduled start time. If you arrive within that window, we'll do our best to get your experience started.
However, depending on what's booked after your slot, we may need to shorten your session to avoid running over into the next group. In that case, the booking is not refunded — but if your experience time is reduced meaningfully, contact us afterward and we'll consider a credit toward a future visit.
A few notes by experience type:
- Axe Throwing & Splatter Paint: Our coaches can often accommodate a condensed session without a huge impact on the fun.
- The Collector (Escape Room): The 45-minute adventure has a fixed narrative arc — a late start means less time to solve the puzzle.
- Rage Room & Splatter Rage Birthday: Setup and safety briefings are part of your session time. Arriving late shortens your smash/paint time, not the safety briefing.
Bottom line: arrive a few minutes early, especially for your first visit.
5. Weather and Outside-Our-Control Closures
All of our experiences take place indoors at our Pflugerville facility, so routine Texas weather — heat, rain, wind — doesn't affect your booking.
If we close because of severe weather making travel genuinely unsafe (e.g., an ice storm or tornado warning), a facility issue (power outage, flooding, equipment failure), or a public emergency, we will:
- Contact you as soon as possible at the email or phone number on your booking.
- Issue a full refund to your original payment method, or
- Reschedule you to any available future date — your choice.
You won't be penalized for a closure that is our problem, not yours.
6. Force Majeure
If a booking is cancelled because of events outside anyone's reasonable control — natural disaster, government-ordered closure, declared public emergency, or a utility outage at our facility — we will refund your full payment or reschedule your booking, whichever you prefer.
We'll reach out proactively if this situation arises. You don't need to fight for a refund in these cases.
7. Refund Timing
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within three (3) business days of approval.
After we process it on our end, your bank or card issuer controls how quickly the credit appears on your statement. Credit and debit cards typically take an additional 5–10 business days. Digital wallets may be faster.
If you don't see your refund within 14 days of our approval notice, email us at info@ragingaxe.com and we'll trace it with our payment processor.
8. Disputes and Chargebacks
We'd much rather talk through a problem with you directly than go through a chargeback process. If something about your booking — charge, experience, or anything else — doesn't feel right, please email info@ragingaxe.com first. Most issues are resolved within one business day, and we're genuinely motivated to make things right.
If a chargeback is filed with your card issuer, the dispute moves into that institution's formal process. We may submit our records as evidence — including your booking confirmation, signed participant waiver, attendance log, and any written communications. Chargebacks that are resolved in our favor are not separately refundable.
We aren't trying to be adversarial. A quick email is almost always the faster path to a resolution.
9. Group Bookings, Private Events, and Packages
If you booked a private event, a large group package, or a custom arrangement for experiences like the Splatter Rage Birthday Experience or a full Axe Throwing buyout, your booking may include separate cancellation terms agreed to at the time of booking. Check the contract, quote, or confirmation email you received.
If you didn't sign a separate agreement beyond standard checkout, the tiers in Section 2 apply.
For large group bookings — even those governed by this standard policy — we strongly encourage cancelling or adjusting guest counts as early as possible. Experiences like the Rage Room (max 6 guests) and The Collector (max 6 guests) have very limited capacity, and late changes affect other guests who may be waitlisted.
10. A Note on Participant Safety
Questions about inherent risks, safety rules, age requirements, or what to expect during your experience are covered in your Participant Waiver, which all guests must complete before participating. Please refer to that document for those details.
