Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-15
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies Raging Axes uses on our website at https://ragingaxe.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your device — computer, phone, or tablet — when you visit. Cookies help the site remember things across pages and visits: that you're logged in, what's in your booking cart, your preferences, and so on.
We also use related "similar technologies" — things like local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels — that serve similar purposes. When this policy says "cookies," it covers all of those.
No cookie gives us access to your device or any information beyond what you share with us.
2. Cookie categories we use
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies run automatically the moment you visit our site — they're essential for things to work. The other three categories (functional, analytics, and marketing) only fire after you give your consent through the cookie banner that appears on your first visit.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. Without them, things like booking sessions, fraud protection, and checkout simply don't work.
What they do:
- Keep you authenticated while you're booking an experience (Axe Throwing, Rage Room, Splatter Paint, etc.)
- Protect forms from cross-site forgery (CSRF protection)
- Store your cookie consent choices so we don't ask again on every page
- Maintain payment-flow state while you move through checkout
You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies through our cookie banner. If you block them at the browser level, our booking system will not function correctly.
Functional
These cookies remember choices you make so the site behaves consistently across your visits. They aren't required for basic operation, but they improve your experience.
Examples of what they might remember:
- Which page you last visited (handy if you were mid-way through comparing experiences)
- Display preferences you've set
Analytics
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our site — which pages get the most traffic, how long people spend on them, and where they came from. The data is aggregated and anonymized; we use it to improve the site and our booking flow, not to track you as an individual.
We may use Google Analytics 4 when you've consented. It sends anonymized usage data to Google's servers. If you'd like to opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, Google provides a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Marketing
These cookies let us show you relevant ads on other platforms and measure whether our campaigns are working. They only activate if you explicitly accept them in the cookie banner.
We may use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and Google Ads tags when you've consented. Each of those platforms links your site visit to your activity on their respective services so we can reach people who might enjoy our experiences — Axe Throwing, The Collector escape room, Splatter Paint, Splatter Rage Birthday Experiences, or the Rage Room — and so they don't see ads for things they've already booked.
3. Specific cookies we set
The table below lists the cookies you may encounter on our site. The exact set depends on which categories you've consented to. Third-party cookies (Stripe, Google, Meta, TikTok) are also governed by those companies' own privacy and cookie policies.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| `sb-access-token` | Strictly necessary | Authenticates you for booking and account access | Session |
| `sb-refresh-token` | Strictly necessary | Refreshes the authentication token to keep you logged in | 30 days |
| `cookie-consent` | Strictly necessary | Records which cookie categories you have accepted or rejected | 1 year |
| `_ga`, `_ga_*` | Analytics | Google Analytics — anonymized user identification for traffic reporting | 2 years |
| `_gid` | Analytics | Google Analytics — daily distinct-user count | 24 hours |
| `_fbp` | Marketing | Meta Pixel — links your visit to your Meta ad activity | 90 days |
| `_ttp` | Marketing | TikTok Pixel — links your visit to your TikTok ad activity | 13 months |
This table is updated whenever we add or remove a tracker. If we add a new analytics or marketing platform, the cookie banner will reappear to collect fresh consent.
4. Third-party cookies
Payment processing — Stripe
When you book any of our experiences, our payment processor Stripe sets its own cookies inside the checkout flow. These detect fraud and maintain a secure payment session. They are essential for checkout to succeed and are outside our direct control. You can review Stripe's cookie practices at stripe.com/cookie-settings.
Embedded content
If we embed a YouTube video (such as a walkthrough of The Collector escape room or a highlight reel from the Rage Room), Google may set cookies if you interact with the player. We use the privacy-friendly youtube-nocookie.com embed where possible, which means cookies from YouTube don't fire until you actively press play.
If we embed a Google Map (for finding us at 15635 Vision Dr, Pflugerville, TX 78660), Google Maps may set cookies when you interact with the map widget.
We only embed third-party content where it genuinely adds value for you. Each embedded service is governed by that provider's own privacy and cookie policy.
5. How to manage cookies
Via our cookie banner
A cookie banner appears the first time you visit our site, and again whenever your previous choices have been cleared (for example, if you cleared your browser cookies). You have three options:
- Accept all — all four categories are enabled.
- Reject all — only strictly necessary cookies run. Analytics and marketing tools stay off.
- Customize — you pick which categories (functional, analytics, marketing) you're comfortable with.
You can revisit and change your choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our website. Your updated preferences take effect immediately.
Via your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies independently of our banner. Look under "Privacy," "Security," or "Site Settings." Keep in mind:
- Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies will break our booking flow. You won't be able to log in, add experiences to your cart, or complete a payment.
- Blocking analytics or marketing cookies at the browser level has the same practical effect as rejecting those categories in our banner.

Platform-level opt-outs
Some ad platforms offer their own opt-out tools that work regardless of cookies:
- Google Ads: adssettings.google.com
- Meta (Facebook): facebook.com/adpreferences
- TikTok: TikTok's ad settings within the app or your TikTok account
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites. We respect that signal where required by applicable law. Where the legal status is unsettled, the cookie banner is the most reliable and effective way to manage your preferences with us.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove trackers, or when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
If we add a new analytics or marketing platform — anything beyond what's listed in Section 3 — we'll treat it as a material change. The cookie banner will reappear so you can review and re-confirm your choices before those new cookies fire.
Minor updates (wording clarifications, corrected links, updated cookie lifetimes) don't trigger a new consent prompt, but the date at the top will change.
